My Thank You to those in the Military

The following is a letter I sent to my friend's brother who was serving in Iraq. It expresses my deep gratitude for the service he was providing to the people of Iraq, the people of the United States, and to me and my family.

I echo this sentiment and this message to all who are serving in the military, especially during this wartime. If you have family, friends, etc. serving in the military - please forward this message on to them for me.

Hi (name removed). You don't know me, but I work with your brother (name removed). He has been sharing some of your experiences with us, and I asked if I could send you some email.

I just want to write you on behalf of my family to THANK YOU for your hard work and sacrifice in serving our country, fighting for freedom, and looking over those that fight with you.

Here's what I wish for you, especially at this Christmas Season:

Peace to your mind.
Comfort to your soul and your family.
Love and support in every step.
Prayers on your behalf and for your family too.
Inspiration in every step.
Compassion and mercy when you can.
Ferocious violence when you must.
Wisdom and insight to know when to use which.
Protecting Angels watching over you always, especially as you are the angel watching over many others.
Safety to you and your boys.
Equipment that works and that you can rely on it.
Safety in all circumstances.
Ability to read the situation when things aren't as they seem.
Alertness and reflexes of a cat.
Strength of body, mind and spirit.
The fury of Hell's fire to unleash during combat.
An aim that is DEAD on.
That your training, experience, and wisdom may come to you quickly, decisively and clearly in desparate situations.

Since the enemy values life so little, let him pay with his, not yours.

A standing ovation to you and those serving with you!

Be STRONG, and be SAFE!!
